I have received the same message as the first one you have listed. Strange thing is, it is appearing as a notification attached to the calendar on my Android phone. I haven't received it via any other method. No email or message, just as an alert notification on my Samsung Galaxy S6. Does this mean my phone has been compromised?

It is possible that you may have installe a malicious app that is displaying the notifications.

Delete all unknown apps, or apps that you are not using.

The newest and latest app I had installed just before the message began was one called 'WALKIT'. Whether this is a coincidence I can't say.

Apps make money by displaying advertisements to users, therefore, it seems the scammers are using legitimate advertisement companies to distribute their scams.

Yes, it is a scam. Never send your information to anyone that you don't know, who requests it via email.

This email is still currently being sent out.using the name Chuck Feeny. So, please stay alert to this. I've read post on here from as far back as 2013. I just got the email in my (spam mail) 2 days ago... So, it's still going on now in 2015 ! PLEASE DON'T GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION ! If you have elderly family member, please pass this warning along to them. I pray that they are caught before they can cause anyone else to be hurt by them!

I just recieved a email from this scam person..I recieve about 3-4 of these a day ..im so tired of it..it blows my mind that they send the same thing but under diffrent names.

Just received an identical letter today from Charles F Feeney (notice -google.com), with the following web page link to learn more about him (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2373420/).

I'd love to believe that I was randomly chosen to be gifted $2.5 million, but I know better. Hope this scammer is caught before too many people are duped and fleeced!

I, receive the same email on July 30, 2105. I responded telling the person who sent it that I know this is a scam ! Even after I replied to the first email I got another one today July 32, 2015, asking for my personal information. (I only replied to see just how far this scammer would try and take things.) I would never send my personal information to anyone that I hadn't contacted first!

My email said that this, really nice:

"man)..lol.. wanted to give me a million, nine hundred thousand... Nobody does that ! It, made me angry enough that I wrote back telling them, that I knew it was a scam, and that the next thing they would want me to do would be to send them money, (to help pay for the funds transfer).

It, really sickens me to know that these people, prey on innocent people, who really are in desperate need of help ! I'm not a spring chick, (by any means) but, I'm older and thankfully I know better than to believe some stranger is willing to just randomly give away that kind of money ! I live in the USA.. My state is Alabama. So, this scam is travelling the globe! I agree 100% that I hope this scammer is caught, before they can dupe and fleece anyone that they haven't already done this to!"

I have received one of these donations and the last email states that the money is coming from a bank in India to be. Deposited in the bank of my choice. This money is to be deposited without the foundations knowledge. This is the clue that things are not on the up and up. I'm not a wealthy person but I don't want to lose what I do have.

I received an almost identical email, only the benefactor was identified as one "George B. Kaiser," with the same identified philanthropy. Couldn't believe that they also gave the man's website and invited me to Google his name; how stupid is that? Wanted my full name, current address, occupation, and phone number, none of which I provided.

Different name used to identify himself, but gave me pretty much the same info.

The above is the email address from a solicitation I just received this morning. Hopefully these scam artists, who no doubt are countless in numbers, can be found and punished.

I received a similar text message from
"Chuck Feeney" asking that I confirm my e-mail address.

I got this two days ago I'm sure it's fake, only thing I give is my name.
