Received an email from Care! Yahoo telling me my mail is being held and I have to validate by giving my email address and password. Is this a scam?

received Yahoo mail yesterday (4/8) that appears to be a virus/malware. Asked f/password & locked up!

Don't click on UPDATE NOW!!!

Received today (note the e-mail address it came from, claiming to be Support...)
Marked as SPAM and deleted.

I just received the email from user maintenance that my yahoo mail has been put on hold. It was addressed to dear users. I deleted the email.

I didn't change anything but I did clinked on the link and put my email address in there but no password. What should I do.

You have nothing to worry about, except getting some phishing emails from cybercriminals. Just delete those emails.

I have just received this email below. I understand that this is a phishing scam, so I have not opened it. A few days ago , however, I received a similar one, on which I clicked "updated now " . (Nothing more .) I don't think that by doing only this I was "following up instructions " , so I hope am not in danger of my data being stolen . I am right?
