The email message below: "You have received a tax refund payment of 632.25GBP", is a phishing scam. The email message is a trick use by scammers to deceive persons into clicking on the link within it, which will take them to a fake HM Revenue & Customs website. The email was not sent by HM Revenue & Customs and you should not click on the links in it.

Subject: Your tax refund payment!

Dear Applicant:

You have received a tax refund payment of 632.25GBP from HMRC (HM Revenue & Customs) into your internet Banking Account.

Please accept the tax refund request. The money will appear in your Internet Banking Account after 3-6 days. Please click on sign in to Online Banking to accept your incoming funds

If the link in this email message is clicked, you will be taken to a fake HM Revenue & Customs and ask to enter your HM Revenue & Customs username and password. This fake HM Revenue & Customs website is located at the website address below:

If you enter your username and password on this website, it will be sent to the cybercriminals behind this phishing scam. Please do not enter your username and password on this website.
