Verizons Tech Inclusive Exercise Scam

The "Verizon's Tech Inclusive Exercise" text message below with a link to 3op0j.com is a scam. Therefore, recipients are asked NOT to follow or click on the link in it. The fake text message, which claims recipients can win a MacBook Pro, is being sent by scammers who are attempting to trick recipients into clicking the link in it, which goes to spam and malicious websites.

    I have received this message every day for the past week. Each time I block the number, but it just comes in on a different one. This is one of many spam text messages I have been receiving since inadvertently adding my email and cell phone number to a website I accessed via Facebook. If things don’t settle down after this election, I’m going to change my phone number.

    I've received the same text from many different numbers - I keep blocking the numbers but the messages keep coming in on new numbers. I've blocked at least 10 numbers with the same message. Anyone know how to STOP these?

    At 8:31 PM Mountain Time today Nov 2, I received a text message from 646-620-5830 that reads: "As part of Verizon's Tech Inclusive Movement, we're giving away a Apple Macbook to selected few. [NAME}, you are eligible: d9ud.com/4rNqBo8z7g". I have typed the message exactly, and note that there are in fact 2 grammatical errors, and the phrasing is odd. i.e. - the exact Macbook model is not specified, I would not expect "we're" to be used in a real message, I do not expect Verizon to participate in a "Movement", and I also would not expect such an offer to specify eligibility so curtly. In addition, there is no reason that Verizon would be entering me into a contest through this avenue that I know of either
