It said I had been charged $249.95 from VTech Solution and that I must call 203-800-8011 in order to cancel. Googling the caller's number didn't show me anything weird, but Googling the 203 number they wanted me to call did show scam stuff. The transcribed message said: "Renewed your antivirus security for the upcoming one year, and we have charged you $249.95 and within 24 hours, you will see a charge from VTech solution. If you want to cancel the subscription and want a refund then please press one for cancellation department or call on this. Number one 203-800-8011 cancellation should be done within 48 hours upon receiving this confirmation call. Thank you."According to Quora.com, "Scammers use VTech Solution as clickbait and acquire information from the customers. This is part of a phishing scam that tries to extract customer data from the user."So if this is a KNOWN Scammer, why are they still around doing this, and why does VTech Solution exist as a company, or is the company valid, but scammers are simply using that name (hurting the reputation of the valid company)?
