If you are enrolled with the ZelleĀ® app and found an unauthorized transaction, please call them directly at 1-844-428-8542. A scam is when you knowingly send money to someone you do not know or trust. For example, someone tricked or persuaded you into sending them money, or promised that you would receive something in return that they did not provide.

While Zelle is unable to assist with getting your money back, it is important to us that users have the ability to report this experience. Zelle will report the information you provide to the recipient’s bank or credit union to help prevent anyone else from having the same experience.

It is important that you also report this to your bank or credit union, if you have not done so already. You may also report the user directly to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center at https://www.ic3.gov/.
