Online Threat Alerts (OTA) - Alerting you to scams and frauds.
I just received a very convincing email that claim I had "an EOB with an updated claim" from BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois. Don't live in that state and have never lived in that state or had that insurance, but I did have Anthem BlueCross BlueShield insurance before years ago.
The email was sent from BCBSIL_noreply@bcbsil.com, but I don't know if that has been spoofed in some way.
I wasn't able to find any recent data breaches, but does anyone else have any info? BCBS doesn't seem to make it easy to report phishing emails, so I have to call them.

I saw a post on the bcbsil website saying it was sent to current and former members about a claim and it was an accident. Even though I as well never have had it or lived in Illinois
Just started receiving these emails, also, three hours ago. They alternate between "claim notification" and "claim finalized". The headers of these emails point to bluecross.mkt2527.com as source. If you want to see more about these guys - checkout whois for the mkt2527.com, or see this summary
