Scammers are sending Best Buy scam emails like the one below to potential victims. The scam emails are fake invoices that claim potential victims' monthly subscription of their Geek Squad has been activated and $399 will be deducted within 24 hours. The scammers' aim is to frighten and trick their potential victims into calling them at 1-828-656-1857, which is a fake Geek Squad telephone number.
If you receive the same Best Buy scam email, please do not follow the instructions in it, just delete it. If you have already contacted the scammers at the fake Geek Squad telephone number and gave them your financial information, please contact your bank for help.
