I received an email from a Lawrence Ducatel inviting me to do an interview with Mrs. Dionna Gilmore through a messaging app called Signal. The whole interview was conducted through text with terrible grammar. If my response was delayed I would get a "???" to see if I was still there. After passing the interview questions, they proceed to tell me that I need equipment, but I should not worry because they will send me a check by mail so I can purchase from an approved vendor.
They sent me a check from a bank in Nebraska but in the background you can clearly see the words void all across in tiny dots. This seems to be one of those fake check scam, where potential victims are sent a check and asked to cash it, send the cash to someone(scammers), but only to find out later that the check bounced. When that happens potential victims will have to pay back the money and the and fees associated with the processing of the check, or they may even get arrested for fraud.
