The email message below, which claims that the recipients should view the attached invoice for services rendered and additional disbursements, is a fake and is malicious. The fake email message contains a malicious attachment disguised as an invoice and was sent by cybercriminals to trick potential victims into opening it. If the malicious attachment is open by recipients, it will infect their computers with a virus, Trojan horse, spyware or some other malware. Therefore, recipients of the fake and malicious email message should delete it and should never attempt to open the malicious attachment. Recipients of unexpected compressed or "zip" files should never open them, because this is how cybercriminals are attempting to trick their potential victims into opening malicious attachments and infecting their computers with malware.
