The website Mega Ebook located at www.megaebook.cc is a fraudulent online bookstore operated by online scammers. Online users who shop at the fraudulent website, which the owners claim is the world's largest online bookstore, run the risk their credit card information stolen and used fraudulently by the scammers operating the website.
We were unable to find out where Mega Ebook or where the owners are located. The information is not on their website, and they are hiding their domain name information by using a third-party service. We do not recommend purchasing from websites that hide their locations. But, that doesn't necessarily mean the websites are fraudulent, it just makes them suspicious. And, when you are operating an e-commerce website where online users enter their personal and financial information, it is important that the website discloses all possible information about itself.
Online users who have used their credit card information on the fraudulent website are asked to contact their banks for help. Their banks should investigate, cancel the fraudulent transactions and refund their money.
The fraudulent website also hosts another scam, where it claims visitors can get a new iPhone X for only $1. But, this is just another method used by the scammers to trick potential victims into using their credit cards on the fraudulent website. If potential victims fall for the scam, their credit cards will be continuously charged randomly for different amounts.

I got a survey in my firefox web browser on my android phone which promised that a few lucky winners will get a new Samsung Galaxy S9 phone. They deducted one dolloar and then a week later came back for more. I had to block my card and approach my bank to file for a reversal of the transaction. This is a scam.
And guess what ive been victimize of this scam too .... please everybody be safe avoid such scams

Dispute the charges with your bank to have them refund your money.You may need to cancel your current credit card and get a new one to stop them from charging you.
I just discovered many pages that belong to the same fraud network! I'm from Argentina and in my case the page was not "megaebook.cc" but it was "epubook.cc". The methodology with which you are deceived with the supposed Iphone X at $ 1 is the same. It is incredible that there is more than one page that commits this fraud and in the same way.

I was a victim of this dubious site. They said I had won an iPhone X and I needed to pay $1 to claim it. They debited #113 from my account because they said they needed to confirm my account. And I even forgot about it until yesterday I got debited #18,540.41 as web purchase from megaebook which I didn't authorize from my bank.I called my bank immediately and blocked my card. I have gotten a new card now. I tried calling the number on their site and the number is invalid and I have also sent an email to support megaeook.com. pls, I want to know if my money will be refunded.
Yes I was a victim of their fraud, I was told to pay just 1$ to get an iPhone because I won it for free.I paid the 1$ through my Master card and my account has been debited twice with $50 each time, the Web site is operated by thieves and fraudsters.

Dispute the transaction with your bank. Your bank should cancel it and refund your money.Then, you may need to cancel the credit card you used on the website and get a new one, to stop them from charging you.

You cannot trust them to unsubscribe you. They will continuously attempt to take money from your card because that is what they do. Therefore, ask your bank for help.

Contact your bank for help, although I don't think they can do anything with just your ATM card number.
I also think it is a scam, if it was a worldwide forum they should have a PayPal option method for payment. PayPal is more secure and you can reverse payments by filing disputes. Being restricted to credit cards makes it suspicious.

Megaebook congratulated me by using Airtel. Ng and offered me an iPhone X for $1 so that to claim my gift I should make a secure payment of $1 and it would be shipped to me which $1 = #360 NGN so that gave me a question mark (?) that how true is this?But I still proceeded with the payment using my master naira debit card not until and read the terms and conditions and said "LET ME KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS Megaebook cc" until I saw your scam alert message.Thank you for sparing me from their trap. Sites like yours are God-sent. I received the $1 Apple X win pop-up answered a few questions but the cynic that I am, realised there had to be a catch plus.I always do a consumer internet search before giving personal details online.

I have just viewed my Bank statement and realized that I have been robbed by www.megaebook.cc they have deducted money from my account. This how it happened, I just received a message on my phone that it was from one of our local telecommunication providers that I have won an iPhone and it will only cost me $1 to have the phone delivered, at first I deleted the message, then several messages kept popping up on my phone, eventually I submit my credit card information and now money has been deducted twice.Coming across your website has been a great eye opener and I am now on my way to my Bank. Hopefully, they will be able to assist in this regard.I am in Africa in the Southern regions.
