I'd been shopping for ice makers so when the Opal popped up, I followed the link. I hadn't seen the Opal yet but other countertop ice makers were similar to the "regular price" of $69.99. This was marked down to $19.99. I figured if it ends up being a knock-off, at least it was only $20. I spent $6.99 for shipping and two days later, I got the tracking info. Seven weeks later, I received a men's wrist watch; a cheap, ugly, fake gold watch. Sent an email and got two options: return the watch (at my expense) so they can send me the ice maker or keep the watch and take a partial refund. NOPE.I told them I want the ice maker and I'm not sending back the watch unless they give me a shipping label. Several back-and-forth emails and they are still refusing to send my ice maker and I'm refusing to take a partial refund or send back the ugly watch. They want me to understand that their shippers sent the wrong item and that they've already paid to ship the ugly watch so I should just keep it and take a partial refund. I disputed with Pay Pal, who says the seller has agreed to refund and that "response is needed". Turns out, the seller will only refund when they receive the ugly watch at the address given, which is all Chinese characters. I tried to contact Pay Pal to tell them this was not acceptable and can't find a phone number or even a link to contact them in response.I called my credit card company and they refunded the full amount without a second thought. I've filed a complaint with the FTC too.
A friend and I each ordered an ice maker for $20. She finally got a cheap watch and I got a cheap toothbrush. Should have known it was too good to be true.
Same. I got a watch.
Sent me a Santa keychain saying sorry for back ordered item. Then updated website to say my item shipped and delivered. Total scam!
Order and paid for unit and I never did receive it . total scam .
Paid with PayPal opened a dispute and because they provide PayPal with fake shipping tracking and fake receipt so PayPal sided with them and rejected my claim.
I opened a dispute with Pay Pal and they said I'd get a refund when the seller received the ugly watch they sent instead of an ice maker. I have "appealed" with Pay Pal and then I contacted my CC company who gave me a full refund without a second thought.
