Mountain Dew Decal Scam - Auto Wrapping Advertising

The "Mountain Dew Decal" auto car wrap or autowrapping advertising below is a scam. The scam claims that vehicle owners with a driver's license can be paid $500 or more weekly via check (cheque) to have their vehicle wrapped with an advertisement. The scammers behind this fraudulent scheme or scam will send you fake checks, ask you to take your share of the money and wire the rest to a graphic designer, or give it to someone else. But, the checks are fakes and will bounce. The wired money will actually go to the scammers behind this fraudulent scheme. You will then be left to pay back the bank the wired amount and other charges associated with the processing of the check. Whenever you receive offers that are too good to be true, please do your research before participating, even if the offers seem legitimate.

I filled out the application for the wrap and as promised a letter with instructions on what to do along with a check. Something told me to investigate a little farther before depositing 3450.33. I was to snapshot my deposit slip and txt it to a Mr. Francis to validate the check. I was to then wait for Mr. Francis to call so we could set up an appointment with the technician who was to apply the wrap to my vehicle. I was to keep 500.00 of the check as payment for my first week of advertising Mt. Dew on my car! The remaining balance was to be paid to the technician who was to put the wrap on the car!

Turns out the little bit of time it took me to research this I found it was a SCAM and In turn saved me from having to payback a fake check with money I don’t have!

    BEWARE ITS A SCAM!

If they ask you to send money or cash a check, take your share from it and send the rest to them, it is a scam.
