Pinnacle Teleservices Scam - How to Protect Yourself
Pinnacle Teleservices Scam - How to Protect Yourself

Multiple online users have reported receiving fraudulent messages linked to Pinnacle Teleservices involving a hotel reservation scam via WhatsApp and SMS.

How the Scam Works

  • Impersonation & Messages: Scammers send messages via WhatsApp or text claiming to be from or related to hotel/travel services (such as properties like Pinnacle Samui Resort or platform bookings via booking.com).
  • Stolen Booking Data: The messages often include real details—such as your actual travel dates, names, or confirmation numbers—because scammers frequently compromise or hack third-party hotel and reservation databases.
  • The Trap: They claim your reservation is about to be canceled or requires payment/verification within a short window (like 24 hours), urging you to click a link or reply with financial details.
  • Direct Verification: Resorts (including Pinnacle Samui Resort) and online safety groups explicitly warn guests that these messages are scams.

How to Protect Yourself

  • Do not click links or call phone numbers provided inside suspicious text messages or WhatsApp chats.
  • Contact the hotel directly using a verified phone number from their official website or a trusted directory.
  • Never share credit card details or personal verification codes through chat apps or unverified links.
