I've had three of these in the last three weeks. I work from home, so know I didn't miss any parcels. I forwarded on the message and number to 7726, the scam text number reporting line.

Same as above - same message as above - received from 07840 852587. Didn't check properly, as had recently had parcels delivered. Had money taken from my account, for Just Eat orders. Notified by the bank immediately due to suspicious action on my account.

    Wish I'd checked too!

Received the same text message from 44 7840 852590 with link to https://local-depot44.com today 30/4/2022 at 18.33pm.

Entered my name and address but then it asked for payment so I decided to google to check and was glad I did!

I'm usually very aware of scams but got caught out due to a package arriving this week, so stupidly put my details in and only realising shortly after I checked validity and googled the "depot 44"

Contacted my bank and they blocked my card, to reissue a replacement.

Going to double down on my awareness from now on!

Received same text message yesterday & forwarded to 7726 (Spam reporting service) Then deleted sms & blocked number (though same texts are sent via many different numbers so latter has little effect).

Same scam here at 22.35 tonight, "Simon had attempted to deliver a parcel today but no one was at home.", I was expecting a parcel, and did open it, but straight away it was obvious a scam...did not complete the forms and deleted the message.

My postie is great and leaves parcels in a safe place or always drops me a note in the letterbox.

  • April 29, 2022 at 12:29 PM by an anonymous user from: Mill Hill, London, England, United Kingdom

Exact message as above received today at 13:12 from 07840 852578. Did not open link as any parcels usually left with a neighbor or card (Post Office) put through letter box. Have reported this number and blocked on my phone.

I today received a text from local-depot44.com. They said that Simon had attempted to deliver a parcel today but no one was at home. We have been here all day and no one called at the house or rang the bell. The text looked exactly as if The Royal Mail had sent it, and I only became suspicious when it asked for my Bank Card details which I decided not to do. I informed the Royal Mail who were not really interested but confirmed it was not from them. They advised me to delete it, but that is all.

Please do all you can to let people aware of this scam. It really does look like a communication from Royal Mail.
