The fake text, which claims recipients have been in close contact with a confirmed Omicron case and they should order a PCR test kit at health-department-uk.com, is being sent by scammers. The aim of the scammers is to frighten and trick their potential victims into clicking the link in the text message scam, which goes to a phishing website that steals personal and financial information.
