The fake text messages are used to trick potential victims into clicking the links in them, which go to fake and phishing Desert Financial websites operated by scammers. The websites steal account credentials, personal and financial information.
Desert Financial will NEVER ask for your username, password or verification code in a text, email or phone call. When in doubt, call us at (602) 433-7000. Desert Financial will not request personal information from a text message. Attackers may text you from local area codes with links similar to Desert Financial.
