Mrs. Amanda Murph Scam Elon Musk End World Hunger Foundation
Mrs. Amanda Murph Scam Elon Musk End World Hunger Foundation

There is no "Mrs. Amanda Murph" acting on behalf of Elon Musk, and no such official organization exists that contacts individuals online to distribute money. Scammers regularly exploit the famous 2021 news story where Elon Musk publicly discussed donating $6 billion to fight global famine. They combine this theme with fake representative names like "Mrs. Amanda Murph" to orchestrate variations of impersonation and grant fraud scams.

How This Scam Works

  • The Bait: You are contacted via social media, email, or text by someone claiming to be a secretary, agent, or foundation director (e.g., "Mrs. Amanda Murph") handling millions of dollars for Elon Musk's world hunger initiatives.
  • The Hook: They tell you that you have been chosen to receive a massive financial grant, charity payout, or giveaway allocation.
  • The Sting: To "release" your multi-million dollar funds, they will claim you must first pay a small upfront fee for "processing," "taxes," "clearance codes," or "delivery fees".

Crucial Steps to Protect Yourself

  • Stop all communication immediately: Block the sender on WhatsApp, Facebook, email, or whichever platform they used to reach you.
  • Never send money or gift cards: Real charities and billionaires do not require you to pay money to receive money. If they ask for Apple Gift Cards, cryptocurrency, or wire transfers, it is 100% fraudulent.
  • Do not share personal documentation: Withholding your ID, banking details, or Social Security numbers prevents identity theft and unauthorized bank withdrawals.
