Scammers are sending the fake text alert below to potential victims. The fake alert asks potential victim call 8668230108, which is a telephone number operated by the scammers. The aim of the scam is to trick potential victims into calling the fake customer service/support number. The scammers will answer the phone and pretend to be a representative from their bank. They will trick their potential victims into disclosing their account credentials, personal and financial information, which they will use fraudulently.

Received this debit card spam text on 12/19/23. Did not reply and immediately deleted the conversation.
They are scammers, if you want give it back to them, they will eventually hang up, then block them
100% scammers,depends on your level of boredom, me I have plenty. Just string them along as much as possible. Then they hang up.
How does the scammer associate the telephone number, (mobile in my case) with the possibility of a debit card account?
They may have gotten the information from cyber breaches. Hackers may have hacked a financial institution and sold the stolen data to other cybercriminals.
