Verizons Tech Enabling Exercise Text Scam

The "Verizon's Tech Enabling Exercise" text message below with a link to k2kap21.com is a scam. Therefore, recipients are asked NOT to follow or click on the link in it. The fake text message, which claims recipients can win a MacBook Pro(Apple Laptop), is being sent by scammers who are attempting to trick recipients into clicking the link in it, which goes to spam and malicious websites.

    I received this scam offering to give me an Apple Laptop if I would participate in a survey. Foolishly I partici[ated and gave them my credit card number. What should I do?

    The number that called me is 347-703-2926.

      Let your bank know that you unknowingly have your credit card information to cybercriminals. They will advise you.

      But, I would cancel the card and get a new one.

    I've received this text for 4 days in a row now! You would think the scammers would be a little smarter and at least try to follow some of the laws so it gives the receiver somewhat of an impression that maybe they are a legitimate company since company's aren't allowed to send a text out like this or call you after 9:00pm! This one came from 1 (347) 603-9168 and yesterdays came from 1 (803) 209-9260. The other two I deleted, so not sure where those came from. Good luck keeping the trolls and scammers at bay everyone!
