Coinspot Scam Text and Email Tech Support Number

Coinspot Scam Text and Email Tech Support Number

CoinSpot does not have a phone support number. Any SMS or email asking you to call a number regarding your account is a scam designed to steal your funds or personal information. Scammers use these "fear-based" messaging to trick potential victims into acting quickly without thinking.

A CoinSpot Scam Message

"CoinSpot: Your withdrawal code is 809777. Please do not share this code with anyone. If you have NOT requested this please call +6124072..."

Fake Alert Tactics

  • Suspicious Login Alerts: SMS or emails stating a new device (often an iPhone from a foreign city) has accessed your account.
  • Unauthorized Withdrawal/Transfer: Alerts about a withdrawal you didn't initiate, urging you to call a "support number" to cancel it.
  • Fake Verification Codes: Receiving an unsolicited OTP (one-time password) followed by a prompt to call if it wasn't you.

How to Identify the Scam

  • Phone Numbers: CoinSpot explicitly states they never ask you to call a number via SMS. Numbers like +61 897 176 715 or +61 348 307 269 are known scam lines used in these campaigns.
  • Requests for Transfer: Legitimate support will never ask you to move your crypto to a "safe wallet" or an external exchange like SafePal.
  • Urgency: Scammers create a false sense of crisis to prevent you from verifying the claim through official channels.

Official Contact Methods

If you are worried about your account, do not click any links or call any numbers in the message. Use only official channels:

  • Live Chat: Available 24/7 directly on the official CoinSpot website.
  • Official Email: support@coinspot.com.au.
  • In-App Freezing: If you suspect a breach, you can freeze your account immediately through the official CoinSpot app.

If You Were Contacted

  1. Cease Communication: Stop talking to the scammers immediately.
  2. Report the Incident: Notify Scamwatch and the Australian Federal Police.
  3. Secure Your Identity: If you shared ID documents, contact IDCARE for assistance.
