PayPal users who have received SMS text or email messages claiming that their PayPal accounts have been locked, should delete the text or email messages. This is because the text and email messages are fakes and were sent by cyber-criminals to trick PayPal users into visiting the phishing or malicious websites in the messages. PayPals users should never click on a link to sign into their accounts. They should instead, go directly to www.paypal.com and sign into their accounts from there. If there is something wrong with their accounts, it is will be displayed to them as soon as they have signed in.
