Email Scam - The International Monetary Funds (IMF) in conjunction with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission

The email message below, which claims that the recipients will be compensated for millions of dollars by the International Monetary Funds (IMF) in conjunction with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Nigeria because they are scam victims, is a scam. The fraudulent email message was sent by scammers to trick their potential victims into sending them their personal information, which the scammers will use to contact the same potential victims, in an attempt to scam them. Therefore, recipients of the fraudulent or fake email message should delete it.

Every month, thousands of these email messages are sent out by scammers to trick their potential victims into stealing their personal information and/or sending money. Therefore, never send your personal information to anyone in an email message or send money to someone who contacted you via email message.

The Lottery Scam Email Message

Subject: Urgent From Mr. Roberts,

Attn;

The International Monetary Funds (IMF) in conjunction with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Nigeria has founds your email address among the Scam Victims, listed to be compensated of $2,500,000.00 USD ( Two Million Five Hundred Thousand United State Dollars ). The money should be delivered to you by Cash through Diplomatic Courier Services. PLEASE NOTE: Five Thousand United State Dollars ( $5000.00usd ) was removed from your compensation funds for all logistics and delivery expenses. Therefore, what you should be expecting to receive is a cash of $2,495,000.00 ( Two Million Four Hundred and Ninety Five Thousand United State Dollars).

As A Senior Staff of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, in charges of your cash compensation payment. I advise you to stop every communication you are having with another person regarding any money and be focus to receive your compensation within 2 or 3 days.
