GoDaddy users are asked not to click the links in the "GoDaddy Your Account is on Hold" email below. They should also not follow instructions in the same email which claims their accounts are on hold. This is because cybercriminals are sending out fake or phishing Godaddy emails with links that go to fake websites that steal Godaddy account usernames and passwords (credentials). And, once the cybercriminals have received the stolen credentials, they will use it to gain access to the accounts, hijack and use them fraudulently.

Instead of clicking on a link to sign into their Godaddy accounts, Godaddy users should always go directly to www.godaddy.com to sign into their accounts. Once they have signed into their accounts, they will be alerted to important changes or notifications, if there are any.
For Godaddy users who have already been tricked by the scam or think they may have been, are asked to change their Godaddy account passwords immediately and contact Godday Technical support for help.
