PayPal Your Account Has been Closed Temporarily Scam

The fake "Your Account Has been Closed Temporarily" email below is a scam. The fake email is being sent by cybercriminals who are attempting to trick PayPal users into clicking on the link in it. The link goes to a fake PayPal website that attempts to trick visitors into signing in. But, if they attempt to, their account credentials will be sent to the cybercriminals behind the scam.

    I received the mail in the middle of the night, while I was asleep and clicked the link.

    I was redirected to "linktree" I realized it there and closed the window.

    Any ideas whether I already got "phished" or not? Thx

    ...and in the email I received today there was even a spelling mistake in the message header...

    "Restore Now Your Account Has been Closed Temporarry"!
