Online Threat Alerts (OTA) - Alerting you to scams and frauds.
The HRRG debt collecting website, hrrgcollections.com, has been around since 2010, which means it is more than likely a trustworthy website. But, if you want, you can still pay your bills directly to the institution you owe if you do not trust a third party or the debt collection agency attempting to collect. Once you have done that, send a copy of the paid receipt to the debt collection agency. And, remember, under the FDCPA, debt collectors cannot harass, oppress, threaten or abuse any person while attempting to collect a debt. Debt collectors cannot tell anyone other than the person who owes the debt that there’s an outstanding bill.
