I couldn't understand why my payment would not go through to pay my AT&T bill because I had already paid it for July. When I recieved this text message I pressed the phone number link and it told me that my payment was declined and for me to enter my credit card number to reactivate it, I thought this can't be right, so I called AT&T directly and the customer service person said there is nothing wrong with my card and that no payment is due until Aug. So I put the number they gave into GOOGLE search and sure enough this is a total SCAM.,. So glad I listened to my gut and didn't fall for this and give them my card number.0an anonymous userhttps://www.onlinethreatalerts.com/users/#an-anonymous-userJul 27, 2020 at 12:06 PM by July 27, 2020an anonymous user from: Massachusetts, United StatesScammers. I figured its because I had spotty service at my weekend spot in Lake George, MI. The thing is, on 7/25 I had updated payment info with AT&T so the msg he got seemed legit...at first. Then I got signal back and saw that I still hadn't received that text, but that AT&T had texted me a confirmation that my 7/25 payment info update had been successful. Then I called AT&T and they confirmed that no text had been generated to my son's #.0an anonymous userhttps://www.onlinethreatalerts.com/users/#an-anonymous-userJul 27, 2020 at 1:58 AM by July 27, 2020an anonymous user from: Crystal Falls, Michigan, United StatesSame message, and I pay 1 year at a time.
