7076618029 Scam Text Message to Call Same Telephone Number

Mine was a txt from 1(410) 100-003. 300 dollar payment failed. Call AT&T 707 661 8029. Auto payed 2 weeks prior. So they know my carrier and my phone number and the payment amount which changes every month. What else do they know and how did they get the info?

Same scam, different numbers for me. My payment is made automatically--and it's not time for the payment to be made, so it made me immediately suspicious. Mine reads:

Received the exact same text on July 28. My phone is on a corporate account. It appears as a scam.

Received same text today. They used a different message code. My phone is on a corporate account auto paid monthly. Obvious scam, just wanted to see how many people got this text already.

I received this call today and I felt it was a scam.

I got this message 2 days ago. Checked on line to be sure I was paid up.

Received same msg supposedly from ATT. My bill is paid in full.

Received this message yesterday at 4:31 pm after I received a legit text from AT&T, the day before, that my payment was successful. Message/Tet below:

I received the same text. Since I have automatic payments I was specious. called the 707 number and was told I dialed this number incorrectly.

Yep! I received the exact same message. Beware.

I got the same text. Knowing my account is on autopay, and has been for YEARS without issue, I DID NOT call the number; instead, I copied the phone number and googled it - which led me here. I’ll simply block the number (I know, usually useless, but worth a try), and delete the text. And hope that it doesn’t turn into a re-occurring thing. :/

Yep just received this text message. Was sent from (410) 200 503 ... obviously not even a legit number.

Tried to call the number and got a fast busy. I work for AT&T. We would not leave this kind of number. We would leave a toll free number. Just to be sure, I checked my bank account and my payment wen thru a week ago with no problem.

I just received the same message. First thing I did was to google the call back number and ends up finding this forum. Definitely a scam.

Same number and same text message exactly. Almost believed it because I do have autopayments set up wit ATT. But nothing is due right now, so it looked suspicious. Indeed, it's a scam. Do not trust them!

However, I wonder how the scammers know my auto payment was just processed? Isn’t it suspicious? Anyone feels the same?

I got a text saying Frm AT&T Subj Unsuccessful payment. Call 7076618029 Msg 2605 today. I made my payment last week, it did go through so I'm assuming this is a scam.

Same Notice - if you go to block sender - you will see that one of the contact numbers is for payments - BEWARE!! SCAMMERS

I immediately checked the credit card that the charge went through on (a few days earlier) and knew for sure it was a scam. BUT I'M GLAD that this site is here to corroborate that! Thanks guys.

Thank you to everyone who posted about this. I suspected a scam but had actually just made a payment so I was wary. Checked my AT&T account and all was good. One note different on the text message I received. It came from 1(401)200-503 Yes, it was an incomplete number; that’s not a typo.

I had the same notice from 1(410)200-501 but different MSG: 2879
