So, I called the telephone number from a different phone. They wanted to know the exact time I got a text. When I told them how do you know I got a text, they hang up. I called again and asked what department I was talking to, they said Apple Support Tech department. Total scam, 1-888-939-6991 is not an Apple Customer or Technical Support number, therefore, recipients of fake text messages or calls asking them to call the same number, should not.
