Scammers are calling from 01612405000 purporting to be calling from the Manchester Family Court, Oldham County Court, HMRC, National Insurance, and other government institutions. The scammers claim their potential victims' National Insurance number has been compromised or threaten legal actions in order to frighten their potential victims into giving them their personal and financial information.

Had a missed call called back managed to get through to someone after being on hold for 30mins. Was told it was a scam because if anyone from there calls with a legitimate reason they always leave a vm. Number blocked

Answered the phone and out of curiosity pressed one to see who answered. An Indian woman asking for my name to look into the case, not today hun haha I hung up on her

It's called spoofing... the scammed disguises their number so that it appears to come from someone you know, or a genuine establishment, in this case, Oldham Court. If you get to speak to someone, waste as much of their time as you can, give false details then tell them to f#@$ off. What ever you do, don't give any info about yourself.

I just had a call from this number. They claimed to be from Oldham County Court, telling me my NI number has been compromised, and to press 1 to speak to an officer. I did not say anything, and they hung up. Blocked and reported.

Just had a call from this number I told them I knew it was a scam and they hung up but please be warned that when you put this number in google it comes up as Manchester family court but is 100% a scam
