Common Warning Signs of a Scam

  • False Urgency: Demanding immediate action or threatening consequences if you do not comply right away.
  • Sensitive Info Requests: Asking for passwords, PIN numbers, full banking details, or your National Insurance number.
  • Unusual Payment Methods: Requesting payment via gift cards, wire transfers, prepaid credit cards, or cryptocurrency.
  • Unverified Contact: Claiming to be from a bank or government agency but refusing to let you hang up and call an official, known number back.
