Online Threat Alerts (OTA) - Alerting you to scams and frauds.
It appears scammers are sending Wells Fargo text scams from 806-419-1735 or asking potential victims to call the same telephone number. If you receive a suspicious text from the same telephone number, please do not click the link in it, and if you are asked to call a telephone number, do not. Instead, call Wells Fargo using the telephone number on the back of your card or go to their legitimate website for their contact information at www.wellsfargo.com.
I will update this alert as I get more information. If you have received a suspicious email, text 806-419-1735, please share it in a comment below to help inform others. Please remove sensitive information before posting.

Got a text from Wells Fargo saying payment declined and to call the above number. I don't do business with Wells Fargo so figured it a scam. Did research and found it indeed was.
Got the same text that my card declined. 806/419/1735 found this article when I researched the number. Didn’t respond nor call.
6/18/22 - 11:17 am received a text from 806-419-1735 stated payment declined from "wellsfargomobile-alerts-iaq..." I did not respond. Per my account, I had no declined actions.
