Text from PNC BANK to approve/decline a Target charge - appears to be a scam that started with a text to confirm zip code for a UPS shipment ... IGNORE BOTH!

Mine was from PNC Bank security asking about a "fraudulent" charge being made. First thing they ask for is your 9 digit security social number - there wording not mine. HANG UP!!! NEVER key in your SS # to anyone!!

I received an identical message as all the other commenters except mine listed PNC Bank instead of Wells Fargo. Did not respond. Beware….Bad people.

Any call to a number you do not know that starts with "Please key in your SSN" is by definition a scam.

I received a text message asking me to approve/decline a purchase from Target and to call the number listed. I deleted and blocked them.
