Scammers are sending the scam text below to potential victims asking them to call the fake PNC Bank customer service 805 area code telephone number, 805-833-5580. Therefore, recipients of the scam text message are asked not to call the telephone number in it or respond to it.

The aim of the PNC Bank scam text is to trick potential victims into calling the scammers behind it. If contacted, the scammers will pretend to be PNC customer service and attempt to trick the potential victims into disclosing their account credentials, personal, and financial information, which they will use fraudulently.

If you were tricked into disclosing your account credentials and finanical information to the scammers, please contact PNC Bank for help. Their legitimate customer service telephone number is: 1 (412) 803-7711 or you can go to PNC's website at www.pnc.com/en/customer-service.html for contact details.

If you have received a PNC Bank text scam, please post it in a comment below to help inform others then delete it. Do not follow the instructions in it.

    I knew immediately it was a scam because I have not used my cards and I get alerts when my card number is being used.

    I received 2 texts to call 805-833-5580 to approve/decline a $20.95 transaction. I did not call, deleted the messages and blocked the source.

    I just received a text from [PNC] for a transaction of $53.19. And to call 8058335580 #5420 to approve/decline. I do not have any account with PNC so checked out the phone number. This is a scam so do not call this number. Thanks to this website I know this is a scam.

    Do not call this number. I don't even have a PNC account, so it's obviously scammers.
