Received Text Balance Questions and Answers 4 1.4K 1 Jun 11, 2023 2023-06-11T10:05:57-05:00 Oct 16, 2023 2023-10-16T10:57:54-05:00 Online Threat Alerts (OTA) I received a text message from a 984 area code saying I had a balance to pay, and that I could either pay online or by phone to the telephone number. I called the number because initial googling didn’t say it was a scam, but I was still suspicious. It was an automated call that asked for my phone number, birthday, and some other number that i did not have, so I hung up. I was curious about this because I did have to go to an urgent care about a month ago, and it sounded like it could have been related to that, but I was suspicious because it came out of nowhere, and also because I was pretty sure I paid for everything already.
