Online Threat Alerts (OTA) - Alerting you to scams and frauds.
I have gotten two telephone calls where the caller sounds like the same person. He claimed I a winner in the Publisher's Clearing House (PCH) sweepstakes. The caller was very hard to understand, I couldn't get his name. The caller claimed I won about $7,000,000, but as I said, I couldn't understand anything but Publisher's Clearing House and numbers. The phone number he wanted me to call is 337-245-2945, which I did NOT call.
Remember, once you are asked to send money in order to receive a lottery prize, it is a scammer attempting to scam you. No legitimate lottery company asks their winners to send money in order to collect their prizes.
