Online Threat Alerts (OTA) - Alerting you to scams and frauds.
Online users, do not follow instructions in the "Central Nebraska Regional Airport Authority Abandoned Package" email like the one below, which claim that an abandoned package has been found in your name. This is because the emails are fake and phishing scams being sent by online scammers, to trick online users into sending them their personal information and, subsequently tricking the same online users into sending them money for a package that doesn't exist.
From: "Central Nebraska Regional Airport"Sent: Thursday March 14 2019 1:53:39PMSubject: This message is from Central Nebraska Regional Airport authorityAttn:Dear CustomerThis mail is coming to you from Central Nebraska Regional Airport and we are contacting concerning a package which a diplomatic agent left in this airport few months ago,This package is a consignment boxe that contained some USA DOLLARS and after opening the package we saw your email as the contact information of the owner of this package ,So we wish to know if you are willing to claim those package or we should divert this to the government as unclaimed funds,Please if you are willing to claim those package kindly respond back to this mail immediately to enable us deliver this to your home address, But if you are not willing to receive this package you should not respond to this sms for us to process in handing this over to the FEDERAL GOVERNMENTso we need your urgent response concerning thisThis message is from Central Nebraska Regional Airport authorityurgent matter(402) 783-1568
