Every week, I receive fake domain name expiration, renewal or registration email notifications that claim my domain name is about to expire and I need to renew. The website the links in the fake email notifications go to appears to be owned by Trendy Media Inc located at trendymediainc.com, which is not my domain name registrar, so why are they sending me these emails. The reason, it is a scam being sent by online scammers who are attempting to steal their potential victims' money.
Launchpad, Inc. (HostGator) is my registrant, so whenever I get these emails, I go directly to Launchpad, Inc. (HostGator) and sign-in from there and check my domain name registration information.
