There are unscrupulous people using several social media and email scams like the one below to impersonate the anonymous South Carolina resident who won $1.5 billion in the Mega Millions Jackpot, in order to obtain personal and financial information from their potential victims. Remember, once you are asked for personal information or money in order to receive a lottery prize or donation, it is a scam. So, do not be fooled. Online scammers know that their desperate people who need money and will do anything in the hope of receiving it.
