The scammers send fake "Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection" emails like the one below to potential victims and ask them to call the fake Microsoft Windows telephone number +18312506551. Therefore, online users are asked not to call the number and should not follow the instructions in the fake "Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection" like the one below.

Basically the same boiler plate template that they seem to be using for everyone else but with a few slight changes to the tyoe of service you supposedly purchased and the amount. I like the improper language syntax that they use for the emails. You can tell that this is clearly a scam, especially when they list the signature as this.

As far as I know, that is not a TOLL FREE number. As always, beware of anything that comes across your email or text message service as well through other sources of electronic media as it is nothing but an easy buck for those that don't have a moral code to not harm others in their bodies.

I called the number and spoke with an Indian man who wanted me to open Google on my computer. Thankfully because of the hurricane we have no power and I did not follow his directives. Came on here to Google his email and led me to this page.
