ATT Unauthorized Payment Scam

If you have received fake "AT&T Unauthorized Payment" text messages like the one below asking you to call the telephone number in them, please do not. This is because the fake messages are being sent by scammers who are attempting to steal their potential victims' money, financial, and personal information. Therefore, recipients are asked to delete the messages.

    This morning my wife and I BOTH received a text similar to this:

    "FRM:AT&T

    SUBJ:Unauthorized payment.Call 8782059684"

    I had a strong hunch it was a scam and when I looked it up and found your site - that hunch was verified.
