The PNC Bank text scam below, which asks recipients to call the fake PNC customer support telephone number(888-261-7271) because of unauthorized activity on their card, is being sent by scammers. The aim of the scammers is to frighten and trick their potential victims into calling them.

I recd. this scam Wed. It looked very suspicious so I ignored it and was going to show it to my bank, but today it has disappeared from my phone. Glad you are aware of it.
