Fake text messages with a link to l8smk.info, like the one below, are scams and spams being sent by online spammers and scammers. Therefore, recipients are asked not to click the link in the fake text messages, they should just delete them.

The numbers are going to be fairly random since you can setup a rogue SMTP server to send “text” emails. As for associates names, there are many lists for sale on the internet with name/number combos and even seemingly good services that you may have signed up for may sell them. Also if your information is available by reverse lookup they can get a lot more information on you and personalize the spam. Most services won’t send a link for you to click if it is valid, instead requiring you to show up to their offices in person instead. I will be performing more delving into this site/spam and provide as much info on what it does soon.

Same texts as above, from 714 253 2897 on 08/26/2020 at 1523 hours and from 213 281 0253 on 08/28/2020 at 1557 hours. Modified message which includes USPS,And a specific date in MM/DD/YYYY from 213 472 9987 on 09/01/2020 at 0632 hours.
