WhatsApp Pink is a malicious app created by cybercriminals to steal account credentials, personal and financial information. A link to the malicious app, which could steal your data once installed and allow hackers to gain access to your phone, is circulating on social media. Cybercriminals sent a post with a link to potential victims claiming WhatsApp has a new feature that allows them to experience WhatsApp in pink and give them a link to download the so-called app. But, if the link is clicked, potential victims will be asked to download a malicious app on their phones.
The Whatsapp Pink Scam
WhatsApp users who have received a post with a link to the so-called WhatsApp Pink app, are asked not to click the link in it, they should just delete the post. For WhatsApp users who have already installed the malicious app, they are asked to remove it immediately.
