Is Bobslot or Bobs Lot a Scam? Review of the Website

The dealership I work at has gotten a few phone calls from people looking to buy a car they looked at on Craigslist from Bobs Lot located at bobslot.com. The odd thing is they are calling about vehicles we don't even have at our store. So I went on Craigslist to view the listing and found nothing with my dealership's name or number, so this is really odd to me as to why people are calling our store's telephone for a car we don't even have.

I'm assuming it's an Auto Broker type setup, but not a good one considering it's difficult to get anyone on the phone and there is no email. Seems like a scam to me. If I get more info I'll be sure to post about it.

I was scammed a huge sum of money and decided to contact a recovery company via their email address: (conniebuffer24@gmail.com) they help me recover all my lost funds and profits. They are very honest and reliable with great support to answer your questions 24/7 service. They have good reviews online and they are the best ...if you need help with funds recovery you can always get in touch by mail and they can direct you to their recovery website. Everything about them is legit, their English is good,I highly recommend them due to my experience and have finally got my $25,350 back. I'm so happy.

  • January 16, 2023 at 5:33 PM by an anonymous user from: Alma, Georgia, United States

Truly a scam. Prices too good to be true. No response whatsoever when you try to contact them. The phone number is even as fake as it comes. No physical address whatsoever. It's like it's a joke or a prank. The guy's name probably really isn't Bob, and we know he doesn't really have a lot.

What I don't understand is how do they scam us? I did leave a vm and haven't heard back from them but it doesn't make sense to me why they would go through all the trouble of a fake business etc. Could someone educate me on this?

They get their business from unsuspecting walk-ins in their neighborhood, which is alleged to be in east Los Angeles.

The website they are listing is Bobs-lot.com

The dealer ship Bobs-Lot is a fake and mirror of the legitimate business Bobs Lot.

Yes, bobslot, ... Another counterfeit opperation of craigslist, they should shut down craigslist, for letting these places, go on with this b.S.

    Bob’s lot is a scam

  • January 21, 2022 at 11:29 AM by an anonymous user from: Lakewood, California, United States

This has to be a scam. Their link to the contact us page is broken. Add, no one ever picks up at any hour. I've reached out to them through Craigslist trying to get a reply nothing there as well. Same vehicles are listed from San Diego to Bakersfield. If this was legit, then why so hard to get a hold of anyone.

Also, note the photos posted, Youtube link shows Bob's as a scam site,... This site says that the search links are legit and that the site is not a scam site. https://...

Yelp's site seems to sum this up. Many poor 1 star ratings. Seems this place, Bob's Lot does sell vehicles but, with their ratings, it's not a wonder why it's so hard to find details on their website. https://www.yelp.com/biz/bobs-auto-sales-portland-2

    thanks great information and responsibility

  • December 12, 2021 at 4:13 PM by an anonymous user from: Morgan County, Morgan, Utah, United States

It says bobs lot is in salt lake city on craigslist, but the website, which looks and feels like something from the mid 1990s, gives no indication of the location for the dealership.

I sortof think that because I called the phone number and gave my name and email on their contact me form that I'm going to get a whole lot of scam/spam calls for the remainder of my life.

However, if they're legit, they should register as a charity organization because they're advertising cars at about half their value.

I checked the BBB site and they rated it 75.7 - Standard, Common, Valid.

If you are familiar with craigslist when you hit reply that is a craigslist email assigned to the seller. Go to craigslist and look for furniture or boats or something and hit reply and you will get a similar number.

    • December 12, 2021 at 4:14 PM by an anonymous user from: Morgan County, Morgan, Utah, United States

      how do you know?

      • January 10, 2022 at 1:07 PM by an anonymous user from: Vanderburgh, Evansville, Indiana, United States

Look at their site. No address, no local number, cars being posted all over the country on Craigslist - and I promise you any "deal" you're seeing on craigslist doesn't exist on their website. I found them from a listing in Indiana, yet others seem to be seeing them in Utah and God knows where.

        • September 15, 2022 at 1:34 PM by an anonymous user from: Norwalk, Connecticut, United States

Ads in Portland too. There's never the same car on their website. They never have the "more ads by this user" enabled either.
