The EDD alert scam text from 9543765559, which claims the recipients' Visa Prepaid card has been blocked due to suspicious activities, is being sent by scammers. The aim of the scam is to trick recipients into clicking the link in the scam fake EDD alert text that goes to a phishing website. The phishing website steals account credentials, personal or financial information.

The EDD alert text scam is also being sent from other 954 area code telephone numbers, not just from 19543765559.

It’s a scam, coming from many different number but mostly Florida area code. EDD scam. DO NOT CLICK THE LINK THEY SEND. EDD does not send texts with links ever
I received this text twice in 2 days. I called the number and it is a waxing place in florida. now they have changed the number.
