The automated dialer will claim that the potential victims' bank card had been used to make a purchase from Amazon and an international bank transfer. Potential victims will be instructed to press 1 to cancel and 2 to speak to an advisor. But, pressing 1 or 2 will connect potential victims the scammers will pretend to be representatives from their banks or Amazon Prime. An Amazon Prime Scam Call (Transcript)"Two amounts of £300 for Amazon and a further £1000 for a payee which was unusual for your account. Press 1 to cancel and 2 to speak to an advisor."Once contacted, the scammers will attempt to trick their potential victims into giving them their personal and credit card information, which they will use fraudulently.
