213 Area Code Scam Text Message

I keep getting scam alert text messages from 213 area code telephone numbers claiming to be from my credit card company. The text messages contain a link they wanted me to click, but instead of doing so, I called my credit card company directly and they knew nothing about it. I am not trusting any text or phone calls from telephone numbers using area code 213.
