Huntington Alert Text Scam - Your Account Has Been Temporarily Locked

The Huntington alert text scam below, which claims the recipients' accounts have been temporarily locked due to suspicious activities, is being sent by online scammers. The aim of the scammers is to trick recipients into clicking the link in it. The link goes to a fake or phishing website that looks similar to Huntington's website. On the fake website, visitors will be asked to sign in and submit personal and financial information which will be used fraudulently. Therefore, recipients of the Huntington scam text are asked not to click the link in it, they can share it in a comment below to help educate others, then delete it.

I just got one of these texts and I don't even have a Huntington account! The text reads as follows...

(HUNT-INGTON NOTICE#7)
We have suspended your account due to fraudulent login activity. Please verify your credentials at: dc9-nod.com to regain access.
