Online Threat Alerts (OTA) - Alerting you to scams and frauds.
Scammers are sending scam texts like the one below from online.banking.activity.alerts asking potential victims to call 8055198860 and other 855 area code telephone numbers. Therefore, recipients of text messages from online.banking.activity.alerts, are asked not to follow the instructions in them. If you have received a text message that appears to be from your bank, instead of following the instructions in it, contact your bank directly to verify the authenticity of the text.

I just got one of these texts, too. Bunch of low-life scammers.
Just got a text fro 805-519-8860, did not respond.
I received exactly the same text message. With my phone number as the "account id". Just a little fishy lol.
Take these people down--so sick of wasting time, looking up, and ID'ing them.Area code is Southern California.
just received one from this same number. thank god I found it was a scam before calling!
I received a text from 8055198860. Said my debit card was locked. Account number was my cell number. Did not open it blocked and deleted the message.
same here. Scammers never die they just come back as a text message.

Got the same scam message:“Contact us At: 8055198860 Immediately ! 713#) #DebitCard Locked Account.ID.Number(Then includes my ph#). What happens if you call the number to speak with the “agent”. My text included my actual phone number, so calling them back doesn’t give them any new information presumably. Presumably, they’re going to want your personal information or your credit card number or some BS like that. My question is why can’t you call that number and just keep them on on the line for as long as possible just to scam them with lost time. When they ask you for something just tell them hang on I gotta go find it and then leave them hanging on the line for five minutes or so while you go find it. then come back online and say hang on please I’m having problems locating the information you want me to give you so I gotta go find this. then you keep doing that to keep them hanging on the line thinking they have a taker. You just keep doing that and coming up with tantalizing reasons why they need to stay on the line until they realize they’re being scammed for their time. They will hang up.

Received text from a web address stating my debit card was locked and to call. Contacted my bank instead. My card is good to go. Scammers aren't very tech savvy are they

"Debit card locked, contact # immediately". had my number but not my bank name and not my name.

Received a txt to call 8055198860 but number it came from not shown
Received this message on mobile phone just after I was paying bills online via my bank. Maybe coincidence, maybe not. I was not using the phone but rather my desktop computer. I did nothing except check out the number it said to call because - I don't have a debit card! So it had to be a scam.
Scam re: Debit card being locked; I don't use debit cards.
